Van Fuller is the Executive Director of the Mid-Bay Bridge Authority. As such, he serves as the chief administrative and technical authority for the Authority's Transportation System and is responsible for providing safe, serviceable, convenient, and economical conveyance for travelers and commerce; sustaining the system within available resources; and planning for future improvements. He previously served as the Deputy Secretary for Engineering, South Carolina DOT. He retired from the USAF after a 30-year career as a civil engineer officer. His last duty assignment was as the Director of Installations and Mission Support and Command Engineer for Air Force Special Operations Command, Hurlburt Field, Fla. He earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from The Citadel in 1983 and received a Master of Public Administration Degree from Troy University.
