8:00 AM - 4:00 PM CDT
In an unprecedented partnership, the Crestview Area, Destin Area, Greater Fort Walton Beach and Niceville Valparaiso Chambers of Commerce and the Economic Development Council of Okaloosa County are coming together to create the first county-wide strategic plan on community and economic development for Okaloosa County. This plan will be a public/private collaboration to diversify, grow and sustain the economy of Okaloosa County. The strategic plan will be developed using the Six Pillars of Florida's Future Economy, the first-ever strategic plan for the state of Florida. The Six Pillar structure was established by the Florida Chamber of Commerce Foundation. It has set forth a direction and collaboration for economic development for our state that has never existed before. To kick-off this exciting initiative, we invite you to attend our initial strategic planning day on March 21, 2013, from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. The facilitation will take place at the Destin Life Center, Destin United Methodist Church, 200 Beach Dr., in Destin. Collaborative Labs from St. Pete College will lead the facilitation. Cost of participation in the event is $10, which will be used to cover the cost of lunch.
