The Northwest Florida Symphony Orchestra at Northwest Florida State College opens its 30th Season with a "GOOD AS GOLD" concert, Saturday, September 17 at 7:30 in Niceville at the college's Mattie Kelly Arts Center featuring the music of Mendelssohn and Brahms. Guest Artist Aristo Sham, of Hong Kong, a Gold Medal winning pianist (Wideman International Piano Competition) performs. Sham, a 20-year-old classical pianist, is a rising star worldwide and child prodigy who joined the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts at the age of six. He has given recitals on four continents in countries ranging from Singapore to Slovenia and has played for Prince Andrew at Windsor Castle and the Queen of Belgium and President Hu of China on their respective visits to Hong Kong. Aristo Sham was featured in the documentary ‘The World’s Greatest Musical Prodigies’, broadcast in the United Kingdom, and is a Fellow of the Royal Schools of Music (FRSM). $25 adult, $18 Active Duty Military & youth age 18 or younger.
