\n\nThe Drifters \;have been the backbone of the recording industry since their inception in 1953 - known for their soulful mix of Doo Wop and Rhythm &\; Blues. Over the years\, a variety of artists have performed under \;The Drifters \;name\, racking up 12 Gold Records that have charted in Billboard&rsquo\;s Top 20 and garnered induction to both the Vocal Group Hall of Fame and the Rock &rsquo\;n&rsquo\; Roll Hall of Fame.
\n\nAlthough the original Drifters have all found their way to rock&rsquo\;n&rsquo\;roll heaven\, the torch has been passed and continues to keep the legacy burning hot. \;The Drifters \;have made many notable appearances in recent years including appearances at both Inaugural Balls for President Bill Clinton and acclaimed performances on \;Soul Train \;and at the \;Apollo Theatre.The Drifters \;appear in northwest Florida on \;Saturday\, May 28 \;in an outdoor concert at the Mattie Kelly Arts Center in Niceville as part of a new USA tour for the group.
