DESCRIPTION:On Saturday\, May 27\, enjoy a blast from the past with The Cornell Gunter COASTERS in a concert under the stars at the Northwest Florida State College amphitheater\, located at the college's Mattie Kelly Arts Center in Niceville. The event is co-sponsored by the Niceville Valparaiso Chamber of Commerce.\n\n\n\n"Following the success of last summer's concert with The Drifters\, we wanted to bring back another concert with the iconic doo-wop sounds of the 1950's and 1960's\," noted Jeanette Shires\, Arts Center Director.\n\n\n\nWhile the original COASTERS members have all gone on to rock-n-roll heaven\, their legacy lives on in The Cornell Gunter Coasters who will delight fans both young and old with COASTERS classics like "Posin Ivy"\, "Yakety Yak"\, "Love Potion Number Nine"\, "Searchin'"\, "Sweet Georgia Brown"\, "Down In Mexico"\, "Young Blood"\, "The Shadow Knows"\, "Charlie Brown" and much more!\n\n\n\nThe concert under the stars at the Mattie Kelly Arts Center amphitheater starts at 7:00 pm. Tickets are $15 each in advance or at the gate. Gates open at 6:00pm.\n\n\n\nContact the Mattie Kelly Arts Center Box Office at (850) 729-6000 or purchase online at www.MattieKellyArtsCenter.org. Box Office phone and in-person hours are weekdays 10:00 am to 4:00 pm central time. Tickets will also be available at the gate the day of the show starting at 6:00 pm.\n\n\n\nBig Red Truck and beverage vendors\, including beer and wine\, will be available. Seating is available in fixed seats at the amphitheater or guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets to enjoy the concert from the large events lawn. Coolers are permitted. Free parking is available in the Mattie Kelly Arts Center main parking lot for the amphitheater which is located directly behind the center's Mainstage Theater.\n\n\n\nThe Coasters have been the backbone of the recording industry since their inception in 1953 - known for their unique mix of comedy\, Doo Wop and Rhythm & Blues. Over the years\, a variety of artists have performed under The Coasters name and today's artists continue to keep the legacy burning hot.
