SUMMARY:9th Annual EOD Memorial Challenge
DESCRIPTION:The 9th Annual EOD Memorial Challenge will consist of a 4 1/4 Mile Ruck/Pack (30lbs for males\, 15lbs for females)\, 1/2 Mile Swim (fins optional)\, and a 3 1/4 Mile Run. This event is held to raise money for the EOD Warrior Foundation\, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that assists wounded EOD warriors above and beyond the DOD. The foundation also maintains the EOD Memorial Wall in honor of our fallen warriors\, and provides support to the families of both wounded and fallen EOD Warriors.\n\nSchedule:\n\nApril 25th\, 7PM Pre-Race packet pick-up at Helen Back Again in Niceville\, FL.\n\nApril 26th\, 0630-0730 Pack Weigh-in\, 0730-0759 Race brief\n\n0800 Colors Ceremony\n\n0805 Race Starts.\n\nAwards: 1st place overall will receive an explosively blown plaque. Top three 18-30 male and female\, and top three 30+ male and female will each receive an EOD memorabilia style plaque.\n\nThis event will be limited to the first 300 participants who register. All participants must provide their own ruck/pack. Sand or other soft material is highly recommended to achieve the total ruck/pack weight of 30 or 15lbs. All packs must be weighed prior to the race. This year's race finishes at LJ Schooners in Bluewater Bay where we will hold the second official EOD Memorial Challenge after party. Cost of your entry fee includes a t-shirt\, goodie bag\, 1 free beer\, and food.
