DESCRIPTION:Everyone is invited to the 41st Saturday in the Park at the Heritage Museum of Northwest Florida April 29 for a day of old-fashioned family-fun.\n\n\n\nThis free community event serves to showcase Northwest Florida heritage with free Museum admission\, historic re-enactments and traditional craft demonstrations. With a little something for everyone\, guests will also enjoy live entertainment\, craft & food vendors\, a Kid Zone\, and a car show & shine.\n\n\n\nThe day's festivities kicks off at 8:00 a.m. with the start of the Heritage 5k Run/Walk & Kids 1 Mile Fun Run\, following a traditional opening ceremony. Registration forms are available at www.heritage-museum.org. \n\n\n\nSee unique exhibits of early native Americans\, pioneers\, early industries of Northwest Florida\, and much more. The kids will love the Discovery Room with hands-on exhibits\, while the adults will enjoy "Paradise Gardens"\, an outdoor exhibit created and managed by the Valparaiso Garden Club.\n\n\n\nThere will be a variety of entertainment including choirs\, bands\, dancing\, as well as historic re-enactments from the Shire Phoenix\, and the Walton Guard. Visit with traditional craft demonstrators and learn about spinning\, bobbin' lace\, tatting\, basket and loom weaving\, chair caning\, and more. Plus\, guests can view the Mustang & Antique Car Show & Shine all day at Saturday in the Park.\n\n\n\nThe "Kid Zone" has so many things to do  make sure you take time to experience it all. There will be old-fashioned games and toys\, SpaceWalk\, arts & crafts\, face painting and old-fashioned contests like watermelon eating\, bubble gum blowing\, and a sack race.\n\n\n\nMake history! And come join the fun at the Heritage Museum of Northwest Florida's 41 st Saturday in the Park Festival\, April 29\, 8a-4p. There will be plenty of handicap parking and golf cart shuttle from Lincoln Park and surrounding streets.
